Track event in the fall

PCA events are hit or miss whether you can get on Penische cars into them. Look into that (and if you need a PCA membership) and get back to us. I may be in for either of those.

I will probably be at the mazda drivers event, and Id be willing to consider the RA event

I'm going to run the Mazda event cause it's so close.

Both PCA events are open to us commoners, I don't know if we need memberships but I sent emails, so we'll see.

Chad, you're going to Nationals? That is a bunch of dough. Will there be considerable contingency money in the balance to offset the travel costs?

Contingency is big for AI I believe but really a tow to Mid Ohio ain't that bad. If for no other reason than to try a new track (that has been recently repaved I might add).

I was thinking of the gas to drive there, to race there, the multiple sets of tires, the brakes, the everything it costs to race for 3-4 days including the hotel bill.

yea, its going to be big, but loads of fun. I plan to pickup a new set of RA1's at VIR north event from sasco and I'm pretty stocked on brake pads, gas will be a pretty big bill, oh well. Also, I'm going to need a crew memeber or two, so if anyone wants a free ride and room and the chance to attend NASA nationals let me know!

I would be more up for racing nationals if I had ever driven Mid-o before. Not really a track that you can learn in a few hours and be fast at. If there were a couple HPDE type events that I could instruct at between now and nationals I probably would do it.

goto the school on Monday/Tuesday, then you get some seat time and only 1 tow. I'm going to see what the cost is for the school and might do that as well.
