Would anyone be interested in doing a track event in the fall that MM doesnÔÇÖt traditionally go to e.g. Beaver Run, Watkins Glen, Roebling, Rockingham. I donÔÇÖt have any particular time or date in mind. I will do a ÔÇ£new-to-meÔÇØ track this fall and thought it would be cool to have some folks to run with.

well, I'm already doing 2 new to me tracks this year, that's probably enough for me.
Beaverun is actually not much farther away than VIR so that's a no brainer. I'd recommend Watkins Glen and maybe Barber. Barber would be pretty badass if only just for the motorcycle museum. Roebling is not much to write home about and Rockingham is even less to write home about.

A couple of places i wanted to go:
BeaveRun
Watkins Glen
Mid Ohio
Road Atlanta (August - bday weekend ) - leaning towards
which ones were you looking at?
hell, i still need to do a VIR event... :?
i want to get in one doing new tracks as well
1994 Ford Ranger
2004 Honda S2000
2007 BMW X3
My goal has been 2 new tracks a year. Unfortunately, with racing, I'm probably only going to stick to the nasa-va weekends

As long as I'm on track, it almost doesn't matter to me. RA would be cool but hotlanta in August sounds awful and it's Chapin's BBQ thing.
Beaver Run looks awesome and we can schedule a normal track weekend.
I'm down for whatever the majority opiinion is.

i'd like to do the glen with carguys...

4 weeks from now Chad and I are doing an event at Watkins Glen. It's not in the "Fall" but I'm happy to provide more info if desired.

Closer to 3 weeks hock:
The next on my list is Mid-Ohio for nationals, but that's not an HPDE weekend, race only.
Atlanta last august was more tolerable than VIR in august. It really wasnt that bad.

Im down with doing a new track.
But all organizations are not created equal, so no NASA OH/IN or NASA-SE events for me.
I think there should be an audi club event at Beaver
I had planned to go to the Glen with CarGuys. Im on the fence now since its just a couple days before hyperfizzle
other than that Id love to do Mid-Ohio, but I havent been able to find any good dates
Evan Wrote:so no NASA OH/IN or NASA-SE events for me. NASA-SE has gotten much better from what I hear. I'm pretty sure they don't let Miatas out in race practice for Thunder anymore. hock:

No, but I wouldnt throw the event off the calender just because its hot. Its hot everywhere in the mid-a/southeast in august.... deal with it

Edit: pot shots removed.
Just my $.02 - I think that if you are looking to run RRR, RA, Rockingham, etc that I would look at carguys, audi club, tarheel, seat-time (rrr only), etc over the nasa-se region.

I would prefer september/october/november. July/August is too hot but if there's interest in VIR North in July, I would be down. I've heard nothing but good things about the Stevie Wonders. I stil have 5 track events in the budget so I'm pretty much open for anything.

I will be at VIR North w/ NASA-MA, so will a bunch of others.

Alright,
How about these dates and tracks:
AlleghenyPCA 9/30-10/1 BeaveRun
MazdaDrivers Shenandoah 9/16-17
PeachStatePCA Road Atlanta 10/28-29
PeachstateBMWCCA Road Atlanta 10/7-8
Keep in mind that the NASA Summit Event is 10/14-15.
The long shot is Mont Tremblant 8/6-7. It's slightly north of Montreal. It's a 2 day drive so it's a big ass commitment but the track pics are awesome. What do you guys think? Any events I left out?
Two feet.
