Where did you get the DI? Care to share how much it cost? Was it as effective as you had hoped?

It was $40 for 30 lbs of the stuff - I wish i'd bought more, but i did ok with it. It worked, really well but it still needed some elbow grease and about an hour of pounding and chiseling the stuff up, some came real easy, some didnt. Ideally you'd do this on a really cold day, with dry ice and an air chisel.
The adhesive remover stuff works really well but its really, really nasty shit. Wear long sleeves, gloves, long pants and do this outside.
It didnt get all the residue off, but I got the big chunks with a wire wheel and all the little spots and specs i'm not going to worry about, since its not a show car and its being painted as soon as the cage goes in.

Just so you know, Food Lion on Port had it last year. Haven't been in there lately, but they *did* have it.

Well, I'm done
I used a wire wheel-o-death on my angle grinder to get the clumps of seam sealer and the hard to get residue off. Then I finished up with Acetone to clean up the floor and get the last of the gunk off. Also, the stuff on the exhaust tunnel came right off with heat gun use. It looks pretty good for a racecar, I'd say its ready for paint - but need to get the cage finished first.

Yeah RJ - working with all of those harsh chemicals, you probably lost a lot of skin (not to mention the vomiting and diarrhea that come naturally with racing an Integra).
Pete, I'd say he's down to a svelte 200lbs 8)
