well, i spoke to our HOA President. he laughed. nobody has come to him about anything and he said even if they had he would have called me and let me know so we could discuss like adults. he agreed that he has not seen me going fast through and also says he doesn't think my truck is loud. he does patrol and watch this area and will track people down when he sees that sort of thing anyway. he said to just hold on to it, but not to worry about it. sounds like to him that someone has gotten their panties in a bunch and thought they would try using the community as their backup when they clearly haven't. i said something to him about it being border line "slander" which if they had posted this or sent this out to everyone, it would have been. he then said, other than that, they broke a federal law by sticking something in my mailbox without mailing it first.
so in conclusion. as far as i'm concerned, it's over. i'm going about my business like usual.
