Yea this would be my second vehicle, cause no way in hell I will part ways with my truck. Based on the posts from you guys it is kind of split with the MR2. I would prolly be autox more than running around the track, so if i get something it will prolly be the MR2 N/A.

great except for that pricetag! :-) Whew, I think 6k is a bit much for one of these, but if that is what you have set for your budget, then it will work. I'd rather buy one cheaper that needs some work, but that is my own opinion. If 6k is really the typical price, then this one looks like a good buy considering the price. Write them and find out if it has had any major maintenance, problems, more pictures, etc. then see where that takes you.
Cops love sporty red cars.
yeah I agree with Dave about the price. That would be awesome to get, but if you're really just looking for a track car, look cheaper so you can add safety items like a roll bar, seats, harness, etc.

MR2s are expensive. They're getting harder and harder to find in ok condition. I watched for MR2s and Turbo IIs at the same time. They're both similarly rare and MR2s are consistently more expensive. You won't find a decent shape NA for less than 4k unless it's the OLD body style, like the one I had ... ('85 = free)
Look to spend 4-8k on one. You can get a turbo on the high end of that if you can find one...
like this
The main problem is that these cars aren't deppreciating any more. They've hit their bottom line price which is high because of the way it looks. Are you looking at other cars too?
I'm open for pretty much anything, as long as it is fast, trackable, and decent to drive on the road (supra, 240's, something along those lines). At this point I am just looking around and seeing what is out there, prolly won't be able to buy anything till the summer rolls around and I have a job that pays $ ...
yea cops do love sporty red cars, but evidently they also like loud red trucks as well
