Anybody wanna try and get tickets to go to the packers/skins game on halloween weekend? I'd definitly go to that. It will be the only time you ever see me root for the skins...CAUSE THE PACKERS SUCK go bears...

take a look at the stat sheet. The Redskins did dominate the Cowboys. every.single.category.

that one call did not make the game, not to mention it wasnt that bad of a call. They rarely ever call offensive pass interference in that situation, and the redskin defender did have an arm/hand on him.
Whoever says that a blown call that even old man Madden could point out that resulted in a 45 yd gain, a ball on the 1, and a TD the next play didnt make a difference in a 3pt game either has their head up their ass or is clueless about football.
And to add insult to injury, the refs dont throw a flag when a dallass defender pulls Gardner's shoulder back when he is open in the endzone.
Dont get me wrong, Im no stranger to football and I can deal with the occasional bad call, but when it affects the game this severely it really leaves me with a sour taste.
a day in the life of the skins.....
damnit458 Wrote:How many yards did clinton portis end up with? 23 rushes for 94 yards...
Im convinced that he is not as good as everyone thinks he is. He just had a good line to run behind in denver.
And in game 1 he had 148 yards...
Quote:Although to be honest any game where mark brunell throws 43 times, you know the redskins are in trouble, and theres not much you can do about that running the ball...
It seemed like he got knocked down on every passing play, the offensive line did a horrible job on protection the entire first half - 5 sacks in the game is not helping them.

a day in the life of the skins..... No. That play did make a difference, but it did not DECIDE the game. Lots of plays make differences in the game, and the call WAS NOT THAT BAD. The defender clearly had his hand on the reciever as he turned arround to look for the ball. And you act like the redskins did not get any good calls in their favor.
This game was decided by the redskins. They held their fate in their own hands. They did not execute and they hurt themselves. Again I go back to that goalline stand by the cowboys. Or how about the 4 dropped passes by gardner in the first half. Or ramsey taking two sacks in a row on a drive when he had about 5 seconds each play to get rid of the ball. The redskins beat themselves.
Edit: Or how about the 7 penalties the redskins had. Can you even count on one hand the number of times the redskins had more than 80 yards to go when starting a drive?

Oh, and one more point. When you dominate TOP, 35:25 in the redskins favor, you have nobody to blame for losing but yourselves. Especially with the fact that they dominated while throwing 40 something times.

Speaking of which, when we gonna start hearind the details about this thing? I've got lots of friends trying to plan parties here in NoVA.
You're right, they blew it themselves.
I think that once the team begins to work together better (notice they played much stronger in the 2nd half once in a rythm) they will start winning these close games. I think 10-6 and a wildcard playoff spot

1. The receiver actually threw the defender on the ground, the defender was just waving his arm up in the air trying not to fall... I agree the Redskins got a few calls in their favor, and do not blame the game on this call.
2. 4 dropped passes by Gardner? Where? I must have missed those. Coles dropped a few that really pissed me off, but Gardner? He played great.
3. Ramsey taking two sacks? He didn't even play!
4. Yes, the penalties hurt, and as usual the Redskins beat themselves... It has been a recurring theme the past 4 seasons or so.
What I think the game came down to? The 2 blown timeouts... God damn I was livid and remember saying "That is gonna fuck them in the end."

Redskins make mistakes and dont play a perfect game.
Cowboys make mistakes and dont play a perfect game.
its all part of this game, its called football.
The referees, they dont play for either team. They arent on the redskins roster. They arent on the Cowboys roster (at least not officially..)
They are supposed to call the game fair.
So (lets see if you can follow here).. saying the high-impact blown call is irrelevant because the redskins make some mistakes is the most fucktarded logic I have ever heard.
You can play the "deserved" card the other way too. The cowgirls couldnt even get 50 yards on the ground. Any team that cant get 50 yards doesnt "deserve" to win. Any team that commits a personal foul on 3rd down doesnt "deserve" to win blah blah blah.
How a game is called is independent of that, so if the game is not called correctly, it is not a level, even playing field.
When it isnt a level, even playing field, it leaves a sour taste in my mouth and pisses me off, and you are damn straight Im going to bitch about it.
And for the record, if the Redskins had won the game by the difference of an overtly-shitty call, I wouldnt be terribly proud of the win, either.
evan, that sour taste in your mouth isn't from the game

Stop bitching!
the playing feel was relatively even. Give me a break, the call was not that bad, and there were many more made vs both teams
And your right, the cowboys did deserve to lose
But they didnt
The redskins did. And the main reason you have to blame for the loss is the redskins.

yeah, I hate getting Maengs mom in between bath days.
And if your gonna bitch about a level playing field the redskins started out with an advantage PLAYING AT HOME. Thats uneven right there. But its how the game is played. You have to deal with it.
2008 Mazda 3
haha... football..
yeah, i watched it.
