We have been working with vendors and local businesses to support the charity event as well as donate for the class awards (domestic, euro etc.) Since October Jon and I have been in contact with Quaker Steak's marketing liaison and she has shown interest in being involved with us for the car show!

Here's my post that I'm putting on some forums, feel free to copy/paste

Come out to the annual Madison Motorshow, held on the beautiful James Madison University campus in Harrisonburg, VA by Madison Motorsports, the JMU Driver's Club. Each year we try to do something a little special to give back to the community, and this year we are supporting the local chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters.

The show will be held on Saturday, April 13th from 10am - 2pm, in the R1 and C4 lots on the JMU Campus. We will have food, live music, and giveaways for class winners!





JMU is situated in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley - about 1.5 - 2hrs from the DC area and about 2hrs from Richmond. Those in the DC area especially have some excellent scenic-route options, so get that car, truck, or bike out of the garage and go for that first long spring drive to make it here!

Guys, just a thought, but the Events section gets about 10x as much notice as the "Campus Events" section and is where this event usually went - should this be moved?

Also, please feel free to spice up the first post in this thread with some of the above stuff, it looks to be still in the "planning" stage.

Also also, can you confirm that there will be food? Gifts/shwag handouts? Any specific details and I'll edit them into my forum postings cuz I know people will ask about food/drink at the least.

Yes! I can confirm that we have food planned out already and a list of gifts/ awards for each of the class winner!

Can I get one tomorrow night at the Dinner? I'd like to put it up in our breakroom at work. Lots of car guys here. Last year all I got was a silly black and white version.

Ours are black and white... but on yellow paper!

That's primarily because we get 100 free posters a week through JMU. Only stipulation is that they're black and white. I think I can echo the rest of the officers here in saying that we'd rather save the money on free black and posters than blow some cash on full color posters that will do the same thing.

But, yes. I'll get you some tomorrow.
