Giving up your rights is a slippery slope. What starts as a "compromise" inevitably turns to a landslide.

Do you think people who pull a gun on others ever think it might actually be the last few minutes of their life?

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

So somewhere over the last 110 pages I'm pretty sure I remember a section about guns you regret selling. In addition to my first 1911 I always regretted selling the first handgun I ever bought, a Ruger P89DC. Well me and my partner were riding around the other day at work talking about the same thing. I mentioned my P89 and hating that I sold it and he told me that he had one sitting in his safe just collecting dust. We haggled back and forth for a few days and finally came to an arrangement that made us both happy. Picked up the P89, 12 mags, a holster and a mag pouch. I know ole Rexy doesn't like Ruger semi-auto's (at least he didn't used too, maybe he's warmed up to the idea of them a little?) but this will make a great truck gun.

Ruger centerfire semi autos are still not my favorite. However, a P89 is a great truck/glovebox gun, I won't argue there.

Does anyone else dislike cleaning guns as much as me? I'd almost rather sell them after I've fired them.

Depends on the gun. I love cleaning my P30 and Browning over/under because they're so simple, it's therapeutic. My grandfather's 60 y/o semi shotgun makes me want to cut myself.

It's that whole "therapeutic" thing I just don't get. My favorite guns to clean are as "therapeutic" as, say, painting a wall. Which I hate.

I'm with Derecola, depends on the gun. Pretty much any pistol or bolt action rifle, love it. AR15, SKS, semi-auto shotguns, hate it.

I am so not a menial labor kinda guy, but it's a rare pleasure of mine. As in, I'd pay someone to wipe my ass if it was socially acceptable. Inherent in cleaning a simple gun is order, accomplishment, pride, and simplicity. It requires your attention, but not so much effort as to be stressful. I suspect it's how I'd feel about working on cars if I didn't have a job and family keeping me busy. I actually get the same way about sweeping my sidewalk after yard work. I would never do that shit inside my house, but damn if sweeping up grass isn't therapeutic.
It's a fine line though. If something takes longer than I want it, I get really annoyed fast.

I don't clean my guns all that often. I know people who clean basically every time they shoot which to me is downright absurd.
When I do clean my guns I normally take an entire afternoon, put on some netflix, and lock myself away with solvent, cloths, oil, and stiff brushes. I'd rather clean my guns than change the oil in car though. It gives my hands something to do while I let my mind wander.

I also don't mind cleaning my guns. I almost always clean them after every range session because I'm weird like that with the exception of my AR because it's such a process. I keep it clean but maybe clean it every three sessions or so

Wanted one of these for a long time and the local gun store had one they ordered for someone that they never came to pick up, so I bought it. Kel-Tec Sub2000 in .40 and accepts Glock mags. Foldable, lightweight, and I didn't have a pistol caliber carbine.

Needed a new gun/erryday belt and found the Magpul Texas El Original on Primary Arms for significantly cheaper than MSRP. Just got it Saturday, very happy. High quality, looks nice, not all tacticool, holds my pants up, and holds my choice of sidearm nice and secure IWB or OWB.

I know it seems weird for a gun company to be making clothes, but whoever is in charge of this team has done a great job. TheFlex pant is easily my favorite pair of pants I own, hands down. I just can't bring myself, yet, to spend the dollaz on a Tejas belt, although I saw them for the same sale you did and had one in my gd cart...but didn't do it. Tell me how it is so I can be pushed over the edge to buy one.
