Quote:BULLSHIIIIIIIT!!!! i seem to remember a convo online where you were able to build your own scion online and bump the starting price from like $14k to $35k with all those crazy options like the $700 aem cold air intake.
I got quoted 395 installed for the AEM CAI.
And as far as the xB goes, to all those who rag on it, I suggest you go test drive one. I ran up to my toyota dealership when these things hit the streets and searched around 3 dealers and finally found a manual one to take out.
The interior is VERY roomy. Its in SUV territory in terms of interior space. Furthermore the interior is very nice, well laid out, and in good quality for the price of the vehicle. The seats are quite comfortable and VERY stylish for the price bracket in their pseudo-recarro feel and look. Rear hatch space is great also.
Along with the fact that this is an extremely affordable vehicle, you get great gas mileage, a large factory and aftermarket performance support. The TRD turbo kit for them will be out soon and will be available to roll into financing

The large issue though is the power, and before being a boy-ricer number-racer and discounting it on its low power, know that the car weighs a bit less than similarly powered cars by other manufacturers. It is a bit sluggish but then again isnt meant to be a racecar. It could make its way in traffic relatively easily.
My only issue is the somewhat compact engine compartment which would make maintenance/modding a bitch.
