The question is why is it separate from the rest of the events? Why is it split out? Are they not ALL madison motorsports events?

Its things like these combined with reduced student turnout at motorsports events that make the alumni justifiable concern over the interest of the current students in motorsports

i disagree. i do think it's somewhat necessary for the forum to exist for the current students that see the forums and are not sure where to turn - getting lost with the massive amounts of posts on this forum. Especially those who don't check the forum every day like most of us posting here do. Since there are a lot more alumni and they're mostly pretty active in MM i think it's a good idea for those in hburg and/or on campus to unite for events and such without having to sift through the vast amount of threads created by alot of us in the northern va / DC area.

:?: Massive amounts of threads in the Events section? On page 1 it goes all the way back to mid June and page 2 goes back to March. The Events forum moves pretty slowly in comparison to most forums I'm on. Now I agree that threads might need more moderation to keep things on topic but that forum is not moving too fast at all.
