"Kaiser and Whiteside continued to pick off cars with Kaiser keeping in contact with the cars ahead, but the hard fighting meant that Johnson was pulling away. Whiteside ended up in an incident with a white mustang that resulted in the race being red flagged. After much hand-wringing on the part of the officials, they decided that the race was official and Johnson earned yet another win."
