holy shit man glad your ok...atleast you know you can build a hell of a cage now. To bad you had to find out this way. rebuild it again i assume?

Yea, I'll fix it, however w/ the baby on the way (wife's pregant in case you didn't know) its going to be a slow fix. I'm going to do the work myself this time and I don't know how much time I will have to spend on it.

He came flying out of grid even though they told him to stop. He apparently passed the pace car, then came flying around trying to make it in time for the standing start. I want to say he did some stupid driving under double yellow too later in the race too but I'm not sure.

This time it was something like him showing up REALLY late to false grid. Pace was already most of the way around the track. He slides to a stop almost running over all of our fine grid people, throwing up his hands, I guess asking WTF he was supposed to do, then sees Tony (pace) coming down the hill, so floors it outta there. Barely clears Tony's bumper as he cuts him off and proceeds. Wild stuff. If Matt or Jess were up there, they might be able to fill in any missing details, I just saw him zoom on in front of pace and was told the other stuff.

I left right after the race and it appeared that the shit was about to hit the fan. I personally hope he'd banned completely, as he proved both days that he has no regard for any of the other people at the track.
IIRC, he stated to Chad that he had been racing for 10/15 years (Chad can confirm). I'd like to find out with whom so I can be wary of that group if I ever race.

yea, and there were two on there that said 'Fragile, Handle with Care', I have another pic I should have put in there w/ the NASA sticker right next to a HUGE dent in my door and 1/4 that says NASA, We Drive harder, haha.
I'll get it fixed up, but it might not be as pretty.

Wow, just saw the video, that sucks....how did they let this guy race? Why didn't they pull him out after his first display of jackassery? I hope you get some sort of payback from him.
How did the crash happen? Did he ram right into you? It looks from the video that he pitted you or something, but then that wouldn't necessarily flip you would it?

Well, NASA did put him on probation after he hit me, I would imagine after what he pulled sunday that was the last straw and then he lost it.

He hit me in the passenger 1/4 and wheel, this sent me sideways (remember I'm cornering at almost the limit on an off-camber right hand, uphill turn, not much side traction at all), I hit the curb on the drivers side (which is what busted the wheel) and that launched me, then the ground drops off, all that combined sent me for a tumble. I only rolled on the roof and ended up there, when I unhooked the belts I landed on my head.

Those of us in tech... once we heard it was #007... jumped in the busted pile crx in search of chad and the car. I'm really glad you are ok. If you have to take the rest of the year to fix it... i'm sure there are 4 guys willing to lend a hand with everything at my house.
a roof skin should be pretty "easy" to do... easy being relative
and you get some off whites or whatever you guys call it... and we'll be golden. I'm pretty sure your cage is still sqaure
