There were FAR too many cards in that game. Sure, the McBride elbow to the face should have been a red, but a lot of that stuff the ref should have let slide.
What the US needed to do was capitalize when Italy went a man down around the 25th minute. That was EXACTLY what my brother and I were saying needed to happen in order for the US to put away Italy from the start.
Hopefully Ghana doesn't play as well against us as they did against the Czechs or we'll be in trouble. After that game though, the US gives me a little hope!
BTW, complete side note.... I actually built a house for Robert Convey Jr. He bought an investment house in my community and his sister handled all the paperwork since he was overseas playing soccer all the time. She was chill ^_^
