You are just flat out wrong on all accounts. Please don't ride a bike ever.
I learned more on group rides with responsible riders. All new riders should be riding with experienced, safe riders. Why would the DMV force permit holders to do so? Someone that has been doing it for a while can watch out for things a new rider may not notice, help with the little tricks to stay out of trouble, give general riding advice, assist if something does go wrong, ect, ect.
Everyone notices a large group of motorcycles. It is usually the lone rider that gets tagged by driver off in la la land.
Like G said ride with in you equipments, conditions, and personal limits and you will be a safer rider.
