I'm finally replacing the carpet in the Lightning. It wasn't in *great* shape when I bought the truck. After 4 years of mud, dirt, sodas, motor oil, and the blood of countless slain migrant workers, I ripped it all out. I ordered new stuff from 1A Auto (which came highly recommended via the NLOC), so my real question is "What to do about sound deadening?"
I figure I might as well do *something* while the interior is apart - with all the exhaust, engine, and road noise, I can hardly hear myself think. Long trips are painful. I'm not trying to win any audio competitions, but right now I can't listen to anything much quieter than RATM. All of my Kenny G CDs are just going to waste
Dynamat is expensive, B-Quiet is cheaper (~ $240 for 100 ft^2), and FatMat is the cheapest (100 ft^2 for $99 on eBay). Have any of you guys used or would recommend anything in particular?
