It is said that after 6 months an open bottle is trash. If I open a bottle and don't use it all, I date it. If I need some more fluid and the date is greater than 1 month, I throw it out and open another. One more reason why I buy them by the PINT and use Ford HD, cheap and easy to get a hold of plus has a pretty high dry boiling point.
