I will be selling late spring, after I put some more miles on this one to gain more experience - i'll be asking $1500. I could be convinced to part with it sooner if there were cash involved, however.
To find a good, cheap bike requires quite a bit of patience. Cycletrader, craigslist, ebay, etc - a lot of the older, cheap bikes have been binned, burned, junkyarded, etc.
On the ride home, i put some u2 on the mp3 player, took it easy and it was fine. Tracks straight, accelerates, stops, shifts, and most importantly leans fine. I didnt hurt the bike any worse than it already is
I may replace the engine cover if I can find one on ebay, although its really not that bad, and i'll replace the windscreen (cracked).
