The engine runs, the transmission is broke. There is a parts car complete with 5 speed transmission and all appropriate parts ready to be picked up as soon as dave gets his half.
The car is a perfect race car (as you have seen) and depending on the limitations of the racing, has alot of potential.
~210 hp is only abour 300 dollars and a bit of tuning away. With KA24 single cam pistons an 11.1:1 comp ratio is achieved. A little sunoco 94 and an AFC and we've got a winner with the engine. (Maybe some mild porting and a nice header).
The suspension will need work, and it's an open diff.
Other than that, dave paid 824 dollars for the car, and (.5*500) dollars for the parts car.
But depending on when the competition is, I think it's totally reasonable. I don't think he can win, but I do think he can be very competitive.
