actually we are getting some support from Venezuela and the Middle East (believe it or not) in the form of oil barrels. They realize that our refineries in the Gulf have been hit hard and some are left unoperational so our gas prices are going higher due to oil reserves, so they are actually contributing increased oil barrel quantities to help the US keep their reserves at a certain level. I understand that not a lot of nations will probalby not help due to our financial status in the world, but i feel that they should be sympathetic toward our dilemma and realize how large of an issue this is for our country. New Orleans, Gulfport, and Mobile are MAJOR ports for goods coming into this country and now most of them are non-operational (example: Chiquita Banana's major distribution center is in Gulfport, MS that holds about 1/3-1/4 of all thier banana stock, and now that's ruined.) I just hope that this won't affect our economy for too long.
