I always want to know if there's actually a problem before I consider any solutions! From what I understand now (and I'm going to get a 2nd opinion), a few seconds here and there at less than ideal, at least in my case, is fine. Where did you hear that it's unnaceptable? Because I bet every single BMW ever made goes below the 10psi/1kRPM in long righthanders, let alone other cars that aren't designed for track use. I wonder what the E36's do, since they were known for oil starvation problems....
yea, I'm sure every single BMW does as well, I'm sure most cars do it. But considering you are RACING and doing it over and over and over again, I wouldn't call it a good idea. 10psi for any length of time, esp at 4k would make me crap my pants, but then again a new STOCK engine cost me 5k.
