Any fast cars up here?

A dyno does not do anything else.

My point is this...a dyno is not a tuning tool, which is what RJ has said several times. All it is is a place to do tuning...you could easily do the same work at the track or on the strip. What it does do is measure power.

Gee thanks, Captain obvious, a dyno measures power.
Got any other pearls of wisdom for us?

You can measure your dick all you want, but if you never put it to use, it sure as shit isnt doing you any good.

Using your own definition, dynos in general are useless, because as we all know you take your car to X dyno and it gives you a number. Then you take it to Y dyno, and it gives you another number. Well shit, all of the sudden that "power" number doesnt mean squat! Who knows if its accurate, who knows if its really how much power you have (grr!).
Oh but wait.... what if we use the same dyno, making changes in between each run to see how that affects the power output and area under the curve. *lightbulb* BRILLIANT! And just like our 9th grade science teacher taught us, we are minimizing external variables for a more accurate test!
now instead of swinging our dicks around, bragging to our friends about some number that doesnt mean anything anyway, we can actually improve the performance of the engine! Wait a sec....thats called tuning!

maybe we can have a dick measuring contest at the car show.
sorry.. for that comment.. must be cause i drive a VW and vws are for gay people hahahahahhahahahahahahaha jk

but yea these threads got off topic fast.. as my sig. says
