it didn't help that was a first year run and then the pandemic hit. just bad timing.

you'll still see manuals in niche vehicles, but the days of getting any average sedan or truck with a manual/auto option will be gone completely soon. the money just isn't there, and people largely don't care and/or new drivers aren't interested in learning.
