Definitely shopping around... Fiancee and I are thinking of a 2020 Mazda CX-5 GTR. First new car purchase, not in a rush. We live in Manhattan but are shopping and currently with family in CT (might end up moving there anyways crazy times).
Thinking deals will peak in May/ June if things can start picking up but it seems that production was cut at plants. Supposedly there's lots of 2020 inventory sitting at ports, so when that releases maybe the deals will improve as fewer people are buying. Mazda is doing the same 0% 63 months or something like that.
Curious what you all consider to be a good deal (in terms of discount off MSRP) in normal times? Forget about the garbage fees etc.. for now. I'm also seeing that Mazdas don't mark up their prices as much as Toyota/ Honda so there's not as much room. We're not getting as many bites on low ball offers as we thought we would but are getting some movement. MSRP is 36,600 (ish) and figured 32-34 out the door would be compelling, or am I expecting waaay too much?
