The honda MTF is 5w30 or 10w30 (depending on who you ask) dino oil with a few anti-wear additives (not friction modifiers) - its really nothing special, and gets the job done. The old spec was 10w30 motor oil, until new gov't regulations cut down the amount of allowable ZDDP in engine oil.
Anyways. MTF is fine and its cheap at the dealer and I wouldnt run anything else for normal street use. Change it once a year... bring Jess' car by on saturday afternoon and I'll do it for you.
