The C8 weighs approximately 3,600 pounds. With a 123mph trap speed, that indicates about 530 WHEEL horsepower, or about 623.5 CRANK horsepower.

if there turns out to be more evidence flooding in against the C8 test fleet as cheaters i'm going to be incredibly dissapointed. for such a halo car with so much pomp and circumstance surrounding its reveal i can't imagine The General would be stupid enough to think nobody would go over the car with a fine tooth comb to find this kind of thing out.
on the other hand, have DCT transmissions become so freakin amazing that 3600lb. RWD cars with less than 500hp are capable of 0-60 in under 3 seconds and 120+ mph trap speeds? very interesting to see how this pans out. i'm sure we'll get some deep dives on this with as hot of a press magnet as the C8 is right now.
and then of course there's dyno operator error. its apparently a reliable dyno motor trend used before to verify numbers on other cars, but we all know they can be completely off if they aren't manipulated the right way. slim chance but possible.
