It has everything to do with NRA money being pulled from one congresscritter (you're aware each one of them has an "NRA Score" right?) and doubled down on a different one more supportive of their agenda in the primaries. Of course, they're a lobbying organization and thats their right - but they've taken a hard line stance against ANY new gun legislation, rather than coming to the table as partners. That is the thing that is going to fuck them in the end, leaving their constituents holding their dicks and nerf guns, instead of their pew pew pew toys.
It may not happen this election cycle, but, thats my prediction. Reasonable minds may disagree.
On Edit - I'd rather they work together and figure this out than just banning all the guns, FWIW.
