me? nah.
since we're on the topic i was wondering why ridgelines don't sell better since they appear to make more sense for most people because i see what most (NOT ALL) people actually use trucks for. here in the deep southeast, full sizes make up about 80% of what's on the road. they're typically spotless single-person commuter vehicles and i don't understand the point. and man they can get expensive too.
Evan Wrote:If you are paying 100% truck money, its not unreasonable to expect to get 100% truck capability.
100% agreed! but if you use that capability just once, is it worth the price/running costs vs just renting a pickup from home depot?
Evan Wrote:How does the Ridgeline pricing compare to other midsize trucks?so this forced me to answer my own question. looks like ridgelines start at 30 and get up to 36 with AWD. that's solid Silverado LT or F150 XLT territory and those guys do incentives like crazy. probably a wash over the typical ownership length (4-5 yrs?) when you consider a set of tires and fuel mileage assuming both are reliable. probably different for longer term ownership.
IMO it really only makes sense if its significantly cheaper than the competition, and usually Honda doesn't do that.
