 i'd pass on any factory exhaust given that the aftermarket will have at least 30 choices within a year of these cars going on sale.

 I wouldnt be so quick to dismiss it.  The factory stuff will for sure fit correctly, not drone, rattle or rust out, and not cause headaches.  You cant say the same for the aftermarket stuff.  That's no small feat.... designing OEM stuff is waaaaaaay different than aftermarket.

I had the 'bmw performance' cars on my last two poor life decisions bmw purchases and I wouldnt have traded it for any aftermarket part.

that's fair.  i just figured with this being as popular as its slated to, and given the fact that the guys buying it will have some $$, i'd expect the big exhaust players (Bassani, Corsa, Borla, Magnaflow, Flowmasterz, etc) to either put in some big r&d as well or at least throw out some huge power numbers to offset any drone.
