I seem to remember some of the higher capacity PNY cards having slower write speeds than expected. In addition to being Class 10, does it have a U with a number inside it? This represents the UHS number, which is the next iteration of high speed cards. If it doesn't have the U or has a U1, that might be your problem. FWIW, I have Class 10, UHS-3 cards in my dSLR that shoots video for that very reason - faster write speeds.
I'd test it out with a smaller card and see if you get anything.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth
