if i had to go truck i'd just get a used 2015 F150 4WD Crew (probably the same price as a new tacoma).
You could do a few-options brand-new F150 for like $24k OTD. When I bought my gray 2011 in 2016, I almost bought a new XLT instead. I think the negotiated price after incentives (rebates are HUGE on the XLT trim) was about $23,700 or so. No point in used trucks in some cases.
