Officer Miller was sitting on the rightside grass while I was driving by on the left lane going 78mph, and that craphead wants to tell me my exhaust was too loud. So, I'm going to ask my friend who's a sound technician for Southard Audio to take decibel readings from a stock prelude, and my prelude, and bring it to court, and rape officer miller w/ it. And I don't mean figuratively, I'm actually going to stick the paperwork up his ass. Sounds like a plan to me. I've gotten 5 non-speeding tickets in the last 2.5 weeks. All for some dumb stuff. Travis in his loud ass Eclipse sped by me in front of a cop, and I got pulled over.
It does suck, but unfortunatly, you will loose because the exhaust is still illegal according to va law. Decibel readings also have to be done according to SAE standards (J1169), but that would be if we even had a law like that, like California does. Guess who is largely responsible for that? SEMA. Your better off having the club members join SEMA, and contact your legislator to complain, and suggest a SEMA sponsored bill. In fact, I have a copy of a bill that could be used in va that Steve McDonald from SEMA sent me.
