my money's on the chain tensioner, if that's the side its on. i get a little rattle on starts with mine if it sits for a while, its just the chain being loose for a second until the tensioner takes out the slack as oil pressure comes up.
The clacking continues for quite a while until the engine is warm. Easily 5+ minutes of clacking.
