Yea stuff like that is stupid. Also when a website lists things in stock at stores and you go and the employees are so incompetent they can't find it (or so lazy, they don't care enough to look or ask anyone). I've gone to Lowe's looking for weatherstripping (a 14ft long piece for a garage door. Like it's 2in wide by 14ft long and doesn't bend. So it's noticeable) website said 14 in stock. Ask the employee at the doors and windows desk about it not being where the website said it should be (which is a feature I love btw, just helped me today when they had stuff in a weird location) and he walked over and looked with me and said he doesn't think they carry anything that long. Order on website and pickup at that same store 2 days later (because I got busy and didn't feel like going back up there). They had apparently already put it back from up front but sure enough after a wait, they found it again and they did carry it and it was in stock.
Also at Sam's club once. Looked all over store for product they were advertising as on sale. Ask several employees and no one knows anything about it. Order online and store pickup following day and they have it ready behind the counter for me.
On a shitty employee note, Just recently at Walmart, we tried to buy a Google home for my dad for Christmas, and granted it was late (10pm) which I told my fiance we wouldn't be able to buy one that late because they don't staff the electronics department after a certain time. The Google homes are actually locked up at Walmart vs security tags at Target so we go to electronics and ask an employee pulling pallets around up stock and ask if there was anyone that could unlock the cage for us. He acts like we're bothering him and says he'll ask someone. 10 minutes later, a different employee wanders past so we ask her and she just walks away ( granted I think she has social issues) and came back a few minutes later and said she asked in the back and didn't know if there wasn't anyone or they just didn't care. I understand it's Walmart but shit, do you want my money or not. Bought it at Target a few days later.
