So the PRW-3100Y arrived and it was a great acquisition. It wears MUCH thinner, lighter and smaller than the S3500. It's about perfect for my wrist. It takes some time to set a watch like this up and interestingly when I was calibrating the compass it turns out that the watch was so accurate that it helped me discover that the compass sensor on my phone was actually way off. So I ended up calibrating my phone against the watch instead of vice versa! The STN display is also a huge improvement, it is really legible at almost any angle. I can't get it to manually sync to the atomic clock yet but I had the same issue with the 3500 until it had a full charge and enough power to do it. The last sync it had was sometime in June probably sitting in the factory or on a shelf somewhere.
