I want an exhaust cutout on my car - all the good sounding benifits and none of the fuss.

seriously, cutouts rock. can you pass inspection with one in view (like, is it illegal to have one or something?)

It is my understanding that people block them off (with a blockoff plate that normally comes with the cutout) when they go for inspection. Since you only have to do it once a year, crawling underneath your car to remove your dumppipe and replace it with a blockoff plate really isn't that big of a deal.

All you silly kids and your VA safety inspections - in MD you have to pass inspection when you buy the car and pass emissions every 2 years. When I went for emissions, they didn't even look under the car - just put it on the dyno and tested the tailpipe smog (On OBDII cars all you have to do is pass a computer based test - just reset the computer and run for 2 days to set the readiness codes).
