At first I tried not to get hung up on the 720p / 1080p difference, but our Ring was 720p and you could barely make out the faces of people at your door. You can switch between 720p and 1080p on the Skybell HD and there is a noticeable difference in clarity but the 720p is still manageable...I'm just beginning to think that Ring's hardware is junk
