Lee's Watch Thread for MM'ers of Impeccable Taste
D_Eclipse9916 Wrote:Lee,

Where do you usually sell your watches? I got a couple of Citizens to sell. (nothing high priced, just thinking I could get $50-100 out of them? :dunno: )
Yep Joey nailed it. I've had the best success in the following order:
1) WUS forums (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://forums.watchuseek.com/f29/">http://forums.watchuseek.com/f29/</a><!-- m -->)
2) Reddit WatchExchange (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="https://www.reddit.com/r/Watchexchange/">https://www.reddit.com/r/Watchexchange/</a><!-- m -->)

Watchuseek requires I think a minimum of 100 or 150 posts before you can post a for sale thread in the forum though, and they are really anal about people posting just to raise their post count. Like they want you to participate in discussions I guess. But there is a really mature, awesome population of people that are constantly buying watches there and a pretty good reputation forum to check people out before you do business with them.

I just sold my Steinhart on WUS, the buyer had no posting or sales history but I asked him to pay Paypal via gift (since I had nothing to prove with my positive seller history but he did). No issues, his watch just showed up.

The only other good option I know of is eBay, but eBay sucks
