Lee's Watch Thread for MM'ers of Impeccable Taste

Tell me if I'm being overly anal about something here. I brought the watch to work with me today to get it sized and when I started looking at it under the fluorescent lights in my office I noticed a speck, between 1 and 2 o'clock, one notch closer to 2, that is visible in this picture. I tried a soft cloth to remove it and also tried a little windex but it won't come off. You can't feel it with your finger, but I know it's on either the outside or the inside of the crystal because under certain light you can see the shadow it leaves on the watch face up close. I sent an email to Jomashop about it, but I've already taken all the tags and stickers off of the watch so I don't know if they would honor a return or exchange of it. Is that something you would send a watch back for? Or is it livable? Any other ideas on removing it, or just live with it?

I haven't made it a secret that I am crazy, crazy anal about my stuff so I would definitely give Jomashop a call and exchange it. Stuff happens and it was probably a particle that got sealed under the crystal at the factory. I mean you could take a loupe to any entry-mid level watch and find a lot of flaws from the factory but if it's something like that that stands out I would probably get it addressed.

The other option would be to pay a good watchmaker / jeweler to remove the crystal and clean it. But it's brand new and JS is pretty good about stuff like that so if it was me I would give them a call.
