Senor_Taylor Wrote:The monsoon the other day absolutely filled my car. Basically standing water in the trunk and the towels I placed in the cabin were completely saturated. I'm not even sure where to begin. I definitely think I need a new roof, preferably a hard top for now, and I'm assuming tail light seals, but it could also be the rain rail being cracked or misaligned, which would be solved by a new top.

The taillight seals aren't your issue if the car as sitting when the trunk got soaked. If you think that's the problem, come pick through my stash of tail lights and swap a set from your car. Your rain rail is probably shot. There is a cheap and easy solution (until you want to put on a new top). Remove the top from the car and use black duct tape to "fix" the areas of the rain rail that has issues. It lasts longer than you can imagine. Your bring you car to Waynesboro Saturday and I'll help you do it.

Also, when is the last time you completely cleaned out the drain channels for the top?
