They made 1 kid work but indeed 2 kids in that amount of space and BRs gets claustrophobic real quick. Even with 1 for a lot of them it wasn't ideal. If you WFH (I think you do) it's also nice but not necessary to have an office, which was a big thing for me with our new home. My office right now takes up half of our guest room, and with my sister in law living with us it's a bit cramped. I have also never necessarily wanted a massive home (our new one @ 3200 sqft IMO is about perfect and should future proof us) but with the extra bedrooms and baths it is great to know that I will have my own office/man cave, we have two bedrooms for possible children and another for when guests stay.

2 bed/1 bath....wtf do you never have guests over?
Some people live on houses with 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Can ya believe it?!

Sorry, cant have guests using my personal bathroom. Personal preference, and I can afford it (and with all the numbers these guys are dickswinging, they can too).

I can understand big houses and small houses. I can't understand when having people over for drinks them using my personal bathroom Tongue I would be fine with a 20x30 garage and a 1800 square foot home. Alas, that does not exist in Northern Virginia.
