Solid idea up until his last point about reliability. If you can look past that, you'll be golden. I had one here in Hoboken and it was my brother's NYC car before that and it's perfect for that. Easier to find spots, navigate etc. There's a reason you see a decent amount of Golf/GTI's putting around.
