Either 1st or reverse. The gear opposite of the direction it's likely to roll.
Not necessarily true. I thought that was the best thing to do, but with some experiments in the Miata it turns out that while reverse had a higher ratio, 1st way better in both directions. :dunno:
Regardless, I have always done both in gear ( or park ) and parking brake regardless of what I'm driving.
