If I graduated in 2011, moved into this area and went into real estate, I would wager that the outcome would have been the same. We took a small hit comparatively to the DC market in 2008-2009, but sales agents here have been killing it for years especially in the foreclosures / short sales business. For some occupations in the US right now, the climate is actually far better now than it used to be. This piece particularly is what I do for a living, so I would be glad to back that up if you need to see labor market data.
So yeah a lot of it depends on what you do, or are willing to do for a living :thumbup:
