Took the car on a 2 day west virginia road trip and the more I drive it, the happier I am. It handles corners with surprisingly little body roll and straights and stop lights are something I've begun to look forward to. It's comfy, the sound system is decent, it hasn't leaked a drop of oil and I'm getting around 18-19 MPG. Not great, but I was getting around 23 -25 with the FRS.
I've signed up for the test and tune on Saturday and I'm not going to lie, I'm a little nervous. This is the highest HP car I've ever owned and I'm not an expert at racing/hard launches/cars/driving or any of that stuff. There will be some frustrations, I'm sure, but I'm hoping this will be a fun experience.
Goodspeed asked me my impressions on owning this for six months as my DD vs my FRS and I'm going to do up a nice little article on the multitude of differences. I have to say though, I think I personally like the GTO more because it ticks all the boxes for what I thought a car should be when I was a kid: Loud, fast and comfortable.
