So little update.
The spring ISOs were not needed, the springs settled after driving, and no longer squeak at all. Car's stance is perfect, and it looks beautiful .
I painted the mirrors, and let me just say, in person this sets off the car x10000, a great appearance mod for this car. Along with these mirrors, I decided to see what yellow fogs might look like, and ordered some lamin-x overlays for the fog lights. I think they look pretty good and give the car some unique flare that you don't normally see on SN95 cars.
Now, let me tell you the story of the greedy dealership who tried to get $500 extra out of me off an inspection. So I took the car in to get an inspection and an alignment from the little bit of extra lowering from removing the isolators. I figured around a hundred for alignment and knew the inspection was $16. Well, my dad and I get a call, and that number is thrown out. I am absolutely furious, I made sure everything should pass on the car before I took it in. They said that the "rear brake pads are getting low, and the rotors need to be resurfaced". I knew from my friend that it would be cheaper to a) buy a new set of rotors from somewhere and b) buy some pads from advanced auto. They wanted in the neighborhood of 300 for this. They were going to put a rejection sticker on the car, and my plan was to go home, go to auto parts store, pick up pads for $, and install in the garage and bring it back the next day to let it pass. They also wanted to flush the brake fluid for around 200, and I just had flushed it a year ago, and know I can do it again, so that was a no go too. So we go to pick up the car (didn't perform the alignment), and guess what...they put a passing sticker on the car. SOOOOOO essentially we called their bluff. Drive it home, take off rear wheels, pads and rotors are good for a loooong time, and I plan on getting new pads and rotors in June anyway. SMH, needless to say won't be taking the car back there, and it was a FORD dealership.
Right as I leave to come back to JMU, the car begins to sound like a tractor, coming from the headers. The header bolts decide to back out, and being young and trusting, I thought buying locking bolts would stop them from backing out. WELL that didn't go to plan. So now it is getting taken to shop I trust, and they are going to fix her up as well as a new thermostat.
And now time for some pictures.
