Stoked you got to try out the i3. I think it's an experience more people should get a chance to try out to get a glimpse of what's coming to the automotive sector. I'm really excited to see the trickle down tech of electric motors to compliment gasoline ones, as well as lighter weight carbon fiber (tech from the i8).
It's certainly not for everyone, it is after all a "mega city" vehicle. Glad you could check it out for yourself and determine it's not the right fit for you.
I'm a bit surprised the REX was struggling up hills. I haven't been able to drive one myself but BMW assured us it would be a non issue. Good to hear otherwise. I also know it is a bit slower than the BEV as far as acceleration goes. I had some fun with the BEV, which surprisingly was the fastest production BMW ever to 40mph before the new M4 launched.
