even if you have to plug it in to an outside wall or leave wires exposed, if it's set to record on motion you should have the person in a few frames as the approach to disconnect the camera. (won't help if you're trying to check the feed for someone ringing the doorbell though.)
I've been wanting to put a few on the corners of the house to cover entry points and can probably run the cables from a unit in a 2nd floor closet on the inside of the soffit around to the cameras, but rough estimates puts me at 650-700 linear feet of cable, which just seems like a pain. maybe i should just pick up something like this to play with and see how it does. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.foscam.com/prd_view.aspx?id=208">http://www.foscam.com/prd_view.aspx?id=208</a><!-- m -->
Lee, yeah, if you're building prewire will be so much easier! might as well run some speaker and ethernet wires also
