I saw that, such an awesome solution. I thought it was weird he treated the torque converter lockup like an overdrive, I always thought they locked after a certain RPM in each gear. :dunno:

As far I know, most only lock in your final gear, or if you have the gear selector in a certain gear, but I may be mistaken.

Many cars have more than just your final gear able to be locked.

Right, but most don't during normal driving, right? That would be silly because the only gear you drive in for a sustained time is final drive. As the guy in the video is doing.
