It could be as simple as the trans programming needs refreshed. Then again it could be worse. Since its "auto-clutch" I assume adjustment is done automatically so I would assume programming/trans/or clutch. Problem is, I can't see nor diagnose a car properly from afar. This is why mechanics hate to go "its this" when a customer calls saying its doing "this".
Adjust the programming on a manual transmission? He's got the 5-speed not the dual clutch.
Sounds to me like your clutch is just starting to slip. It happens, its a heavy awd car with a good bit of power. Evo's are known to chew through them.
