I worked in real estate as a temp in college. When everyone else was going on spring breaks and to the beach I was working 50+ hours a week gaining experience and contacts that ultimately got me a good job in the industry when I graduated. I had plenty of beer money and paid for my old WRX / insurance while I was in school and I didn't have to work when school was in session. If you can dig up a white collar college job like that I highly recommend it. There's certainly nothing wrong with bartending or serving or delivering food to make ends meet but you're probably not doing yourself any favors to help you get a job after you graduate.
This is exactly what I'm trying to go after! I just gotta keep all my options open, my on campus job is pretty nice, unfortunately they're not holding the position for summer
